Dale Feldick plays baritone, tenor, and alto saxophone in the Big Dogs. He grew up as a farm boy in a musical family in a small northern Iowa town. He participated in every band and choir opportunity that was available in school, and won several ‘outstanding soloist’ awards at state jazz band competitions. Dale attended St. Olaf College in Minnesota, and while majoring in math played in their concert and jazz bands, and sang in choir.
After graduation, Dale moved to Phoenix and became a software engineer. He continues to work in that capacity for Axway, Inc. in Scottsdale. He kept up his musical abilities throughout the years by primarily playing in the worship team at his church. He can be found either singing and/or playing saxophone, guitar, or bass. In addition to playing with the Big Dogs, he is currently playing alto sax in the Forever Young Big Band in Paradise Valley. He also plays bass guitar in a recreational band at his work. He has previously played in the Pebble Creek Big Band, the Fiesta Bowl Parade, and the Glendale Summer Band.
When not playing music, Dale keeps busy by riding bicycle every day, playing basketball with friends, and chasing around his 3 granddaughters.
He is married to his wife Katie, and they have 2 children; Ashley and Kevin.
